International Inauguration Symposium 2016

We celebrate the founding of the Muscle Research Center Erlangen with a two-day symposium bringing together speakers from FAU, Germany, Europe and overseas.

Join us in this exciting scientific event where members of the center will present some of their latest research and technologies available for muscle research to the Erlangen community, complemented by contributions and keynote lectures from renowned researchers in the field of myology in basic and clinical research and myo-technologies from Germany, Europe and the United States. The program kicks off with a session on structural biology of muscle marking the end of the current DFG research group FOR1228 which initiated the idea for MURCE and is followed by an introduction to each section of the center with six to eight short presentations (15+5 min). On the first afternoon, we have two designated keynote lectures, provided by Thomas Braun (Max-Planck-Institute bad Nauheim) and Hanns Lochmüller (Univeristy of Newcastle, UK).

The symposium will be a perfect opportunity for MURCE members to get-to-know the various center facilities, and for external guests to obtain an impression on muscle research at Erlangen. We thus hope that this platform will also stimulate collaborations, both nationally and internationally.

The participation is free!

To help us plan accordingly, we kindly ask to send an e-mail for participation (subject: MURCE symposium; stating the names of intended participants) to:
